Q. Is the library closed?

No, the library is NOT closed. 

The physical library no longer exists, but the Treadwell Library does and continues to provide resources and services to the MGH community.  

The web site's address for the Virtual Library (library.massgeneral.org) and the phone numbers are still the same:

You can now send us questions via text message (617-860-3912) and you can also chat with us by filling out the form and clicking the "Start Chat" button at the bottom of our home page. 

Library staff is available to answer your questions from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, so please call us, text us, chat with us, or just Ask Us! your question.
