Login to your RefWorks account. From the gray toolbar, select Tools > Write-N-Cite.
Under Downloads, select the version of Write-N-Cite compatible with your operating system and Microsoft Word version. In most cases, this is either Write-N-Cite 4 for 32-bit Word (For PC with Windows 7, 8, XP or Vista and Word 2007, 2010 or 2013) or Write-N-Cite 4 for Word (For Mac with OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mountain Lion) and Word 2008 or 2011).
Note: Do not install Write-N-Cite for Word with Microsoft Word running. If you have an earlier version of Write-N-Cite, uninstall it before continuing.
Note: Some Partners users with Word 2007 have had difficulty installing the most recent version of Write-N-Cite 4. If this is the case, we recommend installing this older version of Write-N-Cite 4 [launches installation file].
Follow the step-by-step installation process. Upon completion, open Microsoft Word. You will see a new RefWorks or ProQuest tab in your ribbon. Click the Log In button and login to your account.
If you're the only user of this computer, there is no need to log out. You'll remain logged in for subsequent sessions unless you choose to log out.
